Elizabeth began her studies earning a degree in Anthropology (loves studying people). She has also studied and performed dance as a choreographer, studio owner and competitor. Elizabeth has worked as an actor. She has studied abroad, earned a degree in make up a Masters degree in Hairdressing and a National certification in Hair extensions.. It is self evident that Elizabeth strives to be the best at all she pursues. She has a passion for hair design and hi-definition color, she especially loves the detail in short styles (you will always see her looking the part). Elizabeth is often found spending her free time studying and creating new techniques. Never satisfied with the status quo, always wanting to be current. Elizabeth is always searching out and participating in additional advanced classes: hair cutting, coloring, hair extensions and business classes to ensure excellent customer service (do you see a theme here… Elizabeth is passionate about her career). When Elizabeth is not working at the Hair Lounge she can be found styling hair for Weddings, fashion shows and editorial photo shoots.
In Elizabeth’s own words:
“To help someone find it easy to make themselves look and feel their best on a daily basis is where I find my joy.”
Here are a few of Elizabeth’s gifts:
- Teaching them how to control and deal with a cowlick they have fought their entire life.
- How to restyle their own hair on a second or third day without having to start fresh, making daily routines quick and simple.
- How to apply foundation flawlessly.
- How to enhance their eyes using eye shadow, the right stroke, color, placement & desired image.
Elizabeth achieves all of this by educating her guests as part of her service. This includes hands on guidance, notes and/or a video tutorial.
Elizabeth’s personal statement… really does make all of this personal: “My life, like many others began with difficulties; obstacles I had to overcome. Once I did, I was able to find my own voice, wear my hair and makeup how I chose. Every makeup brush stroke, every time I choose to beautify myself is an act of rebellion and a stand for all women! Arise….
Through this I found freedom and expression…. My wish is to share this with others.”
